Esther Nozea is a New York-based artist who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College in Dance and is a graduate of the Martha Graham School—notably known as the oldest professional school of dance in the United States. She has performed in works both live and virtually at various venues and festivals including Perelman Performing Arts Center, New York City Center’s Fall for Dance Festival, Movement Research at the Judson Church, The WP Theater, The American Dance Festival, UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance and has presented choreographic work at the Dance/NYC 2021 Symposium. Esther aims to generate sustained movement that engages the body through space and pathways. Aspects of the visual arts, text and sound are used as a source of reference and personal guidance in her movement exploration. These components play a pivotal role in constructing the artistry she embodies.
